011 - Punthoofd NL, study

Study for an aparthotel on an amazing location in the North of the Netherlands. On one side open North Sea till Norway, on the other side the typical Dutch dune landscape.  Referencing the existing bunker-structures in the area, the 3-leveled project is dug-in at Ground floor level, creating an internal ‘street’ which connects all the units and shields the visitors from the frequent winds. On the outside of the units, patios are connecting the ground floor to the landscape and again creating a shelter from the wind while being in full contact with the surrounding nature.
